In Sacré-Cœur, on the Saguenay Fjord near Tadoussac, an unforgettable adventure is awaiting you: an experienced guide, respectful of nature, will teach you about black bears and their habitat. After a short 10-minute bus ride and a 2-minute walk, you will be in bear country. Our guide will give you information about the bears' behaviour and way of life while you wait to see them for real. They will come as close as about 40 metres (130 feet), on the other side of the valley. The observation is fully safe… and fascinating! You will see black bears go about their daily activities, while the young cubs play around under their mother's watchful eye.
When you return from your observation, you will be invited to sign our guest book: a school bus! You will thus be able to share your observation experience with the other visitors. If you wish to spend more time in bear country, you can spend the night at the Domaine de nos Ancêtres, a centennial house, where a copious breakfast awaits you the next morning.
Make sure you have a reservation, bring some warm clothes and bug repellent, don't forget your camera or your video camera and most important of all, do not bring any food on the site.
