This chapel is the very symbol of the city of Tadoussac and also that of its region. This chapel, which was built in 1747, is also known as the Indian chapel. The Jesuits performed the first ceremony on June 24, 1750. Still today, it is the oldest wooden church still standing in Canada. Enter the chapel to admire the numerous religious objects of the time. You can also visit an exhibition about the missionary life back at the beginning of the colony.
