Poste de traite Chauvin

Open from the beginning of June to the beginning of October

Canada's First Trading Post

The poste de traite Chauvin (trading post) was built in 1600 by Pierre Chauvin de Tonnetuit. It was the first trading post to be built in Canada and it was recently restored in a replica of the ancient one. Enter to visit the exhibition where five themes prevail: prehistory, encounters, trading, oil trade and trading posts. You will learn more about these different subjects through the different exhibitions, but also through the movies you can watch.
