The town of Chutes-aux-Outardes, which was populated with the fast development of the forest industry and the creation of the Outarde 2 and Outarde 1 power stations (the latter now being disused), is a warm place, and one of the main commercial areas in the Manicouagan peninsula. It hosts a 9-hole golf course and is popular for its snow crab festival.
Les Écumeurs du Saint-Laurent (Les Escoumins)
Since 1997, Les Écumeurs du Saint-Laurent has been offering boat trips in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The captains and guide-interpreters enjoy giving passengers information about marine mammals.
