Franquelin is an old forest village with a gripping view on the surrounding landscape and protected by the Laurentian Mountains. It holds the Village forestier d’antan and an interpretation center about life in the forest. At the Village forestier d’antan, you will learn more about wood cutting and hauling, as well as about wood driving and life in the forest. A guided visit will allow you to tour the buildings and see pictures and objects from the old times.
Les Écumeurs du Saint-Laurent (Les Escoumins)
Since 1997, Les Écumeurs du Saint-Laurent has been offering boat trips in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The captains and guide-interpreters enjoy giving passengers information about marine mammals.
