The Trans Quebec - Labrador Highway and Groulx/Uapashke Mountains

Accessible year round

At the Summit of the Region

The Trans Quebec-Labrador Highway gives you the opportunity to go from Baie-Comeau to Fermont, via Manic 5. From Fermont, you can reach Churchill Falls and Goose Bay in the Newfoundland and Labrador province. This road is the northernmost highway in Eastern North America.

Mounts Groulx give you the chance to enjoy the outstanding biodivestory of the North Shore through the 1,000-metre-high summits. You will see breathtaking landscapes, of course, but also the boreal forest, the toundra and the taiga, which are three very different ecosystems.

A little north of Manic 5, come see the Manicouagan reservoir, which is also known as Quebec's eye, from which the Manicouagan River draws its power to feed the hydroelectric generating stations of the Manic complex. This reservoir was created by a meteor impact more than 200 million years ago. It is also one of the most spectacular in the world. Visit totally new scenery during your stay in the Manicouagan region at mounts Groulx and the Trans Quebec-Labrador Highway.
