Pointe-aux-Outardes

Pointe-aux-Outardes

Pointe-aux-Outardes is a migration and nesting site for more than 175 different bird species. Eight different ecosystems, including a salt-water marsh, have been identified on the premises, an area of only one square kilometre. The local flora, which is represented by some very rare species, is a must-see attraction. Discover Pointe-aux-Outardes, the richness of its history and nature, its leisurely rural lifestyle, and drive to its romantic covered bridge, one of the oldest ones in Quebec. Campgrounds and inns are waiting for you.

At the parc Nature, you will discover a sandy beach, large sand bars and kilometres of sidewalks. The potato research center and the most important sawing mill in Eastern Canada will complete your tour of Pointe-aux-Outardes.

Les Écumeurs du Saint-Laurent (Les Escoumins)

Since 1997, Les Écumeurs du Saint-Laurent has been offering boat trips in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The captains and guide-interpreters enjoy giving passengers information about marine mammals.
